Mom Details ‘Nightmare’ Experience Of 5-Year-Old Son Being Left At Wrong Bus Stop & Ringing Stranger’s Doorbell

Parents should feel at ease whenever their children are being picked up and dropped off by the school bus every time they travel back and forth from their home to school, as most drivers of this type of transportation do their best to ensure the safety of their passengers, most especially because they are kids.

However, an unfortunate incident happened to one kid who was dropped off at the wrong location, and the poor boy became emotional as he looked for his mom.

The mother, Kelly Mulholland, took to TikTok to share what happened as the interaction between her child and the stranger was captured on a doorbell camera.

In the first video she shared on the social media platform in August 2023, Mulholland’s son could be seen crying in front of a stranger’s house and asked the owner if they could help him find his mommy.

The mom then shared her reaction and noted that it was the “worst nightmare” that happened to her. She then revealed that her son was only 5 years old, and it was his first time riding the school bus.

Unfortunately, she claimed that the person responsible for driving the bus “did not follow procedures” and lost her son. The little boy was not the only one who was dropped off at a different location, as the daughter of Mulholland’s boyfriend also experienced the same thing.

She explained that both children were supposed to be dropped off at the same location because they lived in the same house.

The reason why this incident occurred was because the bus driver didn’t check the tags on the kids’ backpack. She also noted that the driver didn’t notice that they got off.

When Mulholland, who was pregnant at the time, came to pick the kids up at the bus stop where they were supposed to be dropped off, she was shocked to find out that the children were not there.

Fortunately, there was an older kid on the bus who was able to tell her that the two kids were dropped off at a different location.

Since the situation was already hard for her, she went to her car to get her phone in order to call her boyfriend, until another car pulled up and the driver asked her if she was looking for two children. The man said he was on his way home from work, and his doorbell camera captured two children asking for help.

She immediately asked for his address and went there, but to her surprise, they weren't there. While she was looking for the kids along with the neighbors of the homeowner, her boyfriend was in contact with the school. Since no one answered, he went to the campus only to find out that they were not responsible for the school buses.

All of a sudden, a ray of hope hit Mulholland.

“I finally find them, a few houses down from where the house was with the guy with the original Ring footage,” she said in a separate video.

Mulholland later told other parents that even though they think that it won’t happen to them, they have to teach their children what to do if they were in that situation.

In another video, Mulholland said she was not sure what happened with the driver, but the Department of Transportation assured them that actions would be taken.
