Considered one of the best-selling music artists in the world, Alicia Keys is a vocal powerhouse in the music industry. She is widely known by the public as the voice behind the songs "Empire State of Mind," "Girl on Fire," "If I Ain't Got You," and "No One."

A highly-acclaimed artist, Keys is the recipient of 15 Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist, Best R&B Album, and even Song of the Year. To date, she has already released nine studio albums, including her debut album, "Songs in a Minor." Keys was also one of the most loved coaches on the reality singing competition "The Voice," where she was for three seasons.

In 2010, Keys married hip-hop producer and rapper Swizz Beatz. Almost three months after they tied the knot, the songstress gave birth to their first son, Egypt Daoud Dean, which was later revealed to have inherited the musical talent of his parents.

Egypt, now 12 years old, has already shown the world numerous times how great he is when it comes to performing.

In 2019, Egypt made his debut at the iHeart Radio Music Awards stage as he performed with Keys at the awards ceremony. While his mother is belting out her single, "Raise a Man," Egypt was busy stunning the audience with his impressive piano skills, the perfect accompaniment to his mother's precious vocals.

Last June 2022, Egypt again wowed everyone as he accompanied his mom in Mannheim, Germany, surprising the 17,000 crowd-strong with a four-minute performance no one had anticipated! Read on to learn more about how Keys' son inherited her musical talent.

On the road for her "Alicia + Keys World Tour," Keys pulled out Egypt for a surprise performance at her concert at the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany, last Jun. 23, 2022.

According to Access, Egypt played "il vento d'oro" from the soundtrack of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind," "Merry-Go-Round of Life" from "Howl's Moving Castle" and the "Game of Thrones" opening theme song for his widely-applauded performance.

Two proud parents, Keys and Swizz Beatz, posted a selfie video together, expressing how proud they are of their son for the incredible feat.

Speaking to the publication exclusively, Keys is very thrilled upon finding out about her son's developing talent in music.

"Egypt is really excited about music, and he loves playing the piano. He's very creative. He's writing a bunch of songs and his melodies are great. His ear, he can pick out so many great songs. He has such a good ear. When I hear him sing and he's practicing and working on it – I'm literally like," Keys revealed, showing how shocked she was.

Speaking more to ET Online in 2021, she further gushed about the surreal experience of working with her son.

"I couldn't even believe it. I was, like, tearing up and I felt so crazy because he's like, 'Mom, what?' And I'm like [laughs], 'Nothing!' It's just amazing," she confessed.

Apparently, it was Egypt who wanted to join her for the tour, taking any chance to familiarize himself with what the future was possibly in store for him.

"When I hear him play, I definitely stop in my tracks," Keys further told the outlet. "I'm listening to his chords and I'm listening to his choices. It's not been a surprise because he's always been connected to it."
