Zoo Reveals April The Giraffe Might Give Birth Before The End Of March

April the giraffe has been known to keep to her own schedule before. After giving birth in 2017 later than expected, this time she is expected to give birth earlier than doctors first thought. April's last calf, Tajiri, was born later than expected, and she began to become more and more famous as people tuned in to see when she would give birth. April was a subject of a live stream watched by people across the country, but for 65 days she was happy to just eat and sleep. As the tension became unbearable, she finally gave birth to the delight of everyone who had been waiting, including the calf's father, Oliver.

This time around, April is due earlier than expected. It is the second time that father Oliver has been taken by surprise at the changing due date. People will again be able to follow the wait online, but for those who cannot stay glued to the live stream, it is possible to receive updates via text.

It is not just the date of birth that people are waiting for. A contest offered by the zoo will treat a lucky winner to a weekend at the park. The winner will be chosen from a pool of people who correctly predicted the gender of the new calf. People might not be as willing to change their calendars just yet, as the zoo has missed the mark before. It is another twist in April's birthing saga, and yet again she is proving to be a little unpredictable.
