Congratulations to new dog dad, “High School Musical” star Zac Efron, who decided to bring his foster furbaby to a forever home: his own.

Even though Zac is a big Hollywood actor, he is still down-to-earth and has a big heart. The dog lover is a volunteer at the Bark n’ Bitches boutique in Los Angeles which also doubles as a shelter called Jimi’s Angels.

People reported that Zac Efron started off as a foster dad to a dog named Tilly but absolutely fell in love with the happy-go-lucky puppy and brought her home instead.

Tilly was on her way to death row before she was given to the shelter, who then, in turn, let Efron foster her. After he took her home for what he thought would be a temporary period, he just couldn’t let her go again.

Zac decided to keep Tilly and re-named her MACA. In an Instagram post from Bark n’ Bitches, Zac is shown sitting on a balcony with his new cutie and the caption “He went through our application process and fostered MACA and just could not give her back. So MACA now lives with Zac! This is her happily ever after! Happy life MACA! Happy Life.”
