Youngest Performer On AGT "Rips Ceiling Off" With Performance Forcing Howie To Smack The Golden Buzzer

Angelica Hale was only four years old when she developed bacterial pneumonia. The bacterial infection spread, resulting in multiple organ failure and sepsis. Her lungs were scarred, and her kidneys were damaged beyond repair. Doctors put Angelica into a medically-induced coma. She was moved to another hospital where she was put on life-support.

After spending nearly 100 days in the hospital, Angelica Hale was released. She was placed on dialysis for more than a year until she was strong enough for a kidney transplant. It was during her long road to recovery that Angelica Hale found her voice.

You might not be familiar with Angelica Hale's medical history, but you've surely seen her before.

Angelica competed on the 2017 season of America's Got Talent. The judges were so wowed by her performance of the Alicia Keys song "Girl On Fire" that they hit the golden buzzer, allowing Angelica to advance directly to the finals. Each judge can hit the golden buzzer once per season, so it's quite the accomplishment. Angelica ended up finishing in second place. At ten years old, she was the show's youngest ever runner-up.

Angelica Hale is now 11 years old, and she's back on the newest season of America's Got Talent: The Champions. Angelica sang a rendition of Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" that showed off her unbelievable range. The entire audience was on their feet by the end of the first verse. Howie Mandell was so impressed by Angelica's talent that he hit the golden buzzer making Angelica Hale the first person in America's Got Talent history to have two golden buzzer performances!

Now Angelica will have to face the talented Susan Boyle. Susan also gave a golden buzzer performance and advanced directly to the finals. Judging by her choice of song, Angelica is ready for a fight!
