Young Woman Looks So Much Like Princess Diana, Strangers Mistake Her For Her Daughter

The memory and legacy of Princess Diana will surely never be forgotten. It's clear that many people today still recount all of the light and positivity Diana brought to the world, as she was respectfully seen as the "People's Princess." She was known for changing royal traditions, being outspoken, being kind and having a very recognizable sense of fashion.

Nowadays, it seems like there's one woman in the world that is so mesmerized by Diana, that she has adapted some of the late princess' style habits. Sophie Eales is a 24-year-old woman from Bournesmouth, England, who claims that she looks so similar to Diana that people even stop her sometimes and ask if she's related to the Princess of Wales. In fact, some people have even gone so far as to ask if Eales is Diana's daughter.

The 24-year-old woman is a hairdresser who decided to revamp her look back in April 2021. As of January 2022, she has a bob and styles her hair similarly to Diana's famous hairstyle. It's not a surprise that some people are astonished by the similarities between the two women, especially based on the way Eales looks from the angles she takes her photographs from.

Now, Eales has been blown away by the attention she's received as Diana's lookalike, and has gone on to share her new look and newfound confidence with the world on multiple social media platforms. She also has some content in honor of Diana, showing how she's learning more about the princess and is continuing to be inspired by her iconic style.

Recognized For Her Royal Resemblance

After recreating some of Diana's iconic looks and appearing to take on her mannerisms in photographs, Eales has gone on to be compared to the late princess. According to the Nottingham Post, strangers in the street have even stopped the 24-year-old woman, asking her if she is Diana's daughter.

"I wanted to change my whole style," Eales said. "I always had long hair and just thought, 'why not?'" She said she cut most of it because she wanted layers, before finally settling on the bob look, similar to Diana's iconic hairstyle.

Now, people are absolutely amazed by her resemblance to the Princess of Wales. Eales said, "The amount of attention I get – people say, 'you look like Princess Diana – are you her daughter?' I always say no – I know who my mum is! – but it's a nice compliment."

She said she was first recognized in a supermarket, and was later even stopped by a stranger who wanted a hug because she looked so much like Diana. Eales also now shares her style on social media accounts, including her TikTok and Instagram.

However, Eales said she wasn't aspiring to be like Diana. "I don't think I look like her," she admitted. "I just wanted a new look." Despite this, it's clear that she has grown to appreciate the resemblance, and has no plans on returning to her previous look just yet as the makeover has really increased her self-esteem, according to Express.

"I'm just an ordinary girl," Eales said. "But the confidence boost – I love it so much. Every time I wake up, I know the rollers have to go in and the hair has to be bouncy."
