Young Men 'Restore Faith In Humanity' After Helping Senior Citizen Who Had Fallen In The Road

There comes a time in our lives when all we want to do is have fun, and this usually happens when we are in our 20s. For young men, this decade of their lives is often all about forging social connections with peers, chasing girls, and figuring out how to make it in this world. The combination of these activities can also result in a selfish mindset that makes us forget about the plight of others who are not in our age group; however, this was not the case for three men in Liverpool.

Kieran Byrne is a young man from Dublin who decided to visit Liverpool with a couple of friends. Local resident Colm O'Grady was taking a nightly stroll on a Friday night when he noticed an old man walking down the street and having a hard time staying on his feet.

Three young men approached the elderly gentleman, and this made Mr. O'Grady suspicious; and just in case, he started recording with his smartphone.

It turned out that the young men were concerned about the old man, who by now had fallen down on his face, and they helped him get up. He was inebriated so Kieran and his friends decided that the right thing to do was get the man in a cab, which they did after pulling out their wallets and peeling off a few pounds to cover the fare.

Mr. O'Grady immediately felt relieved that the situation was handled with such kindness, said it gave him "faith in humanity" and he decided to distribute the video within his social media circles.

The video has been passed along quite a few times, but Mr. O'Grady felt that it was worthy of news coverage. He sent it to his favorite newspaper, the Liverpool Echo, and the rest is viral history.

Tell your friends to watch this video and discuss how we should be doing things in 2020 - without selfishness and with plenty of kindness and respect for others.
