When a classic produced in the 60's still bangs the ear like a hypnotic tune, you have to give it credit. One such hit is “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” released in 1964 by the Righteous Brothers. The Righteous Brothers started out in 1962 as part of a larger group known as the Paramours. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield later detached from the Paramours to pursue their musical interests and formed The Righteous Brothers.

Despite not having high tech musical instruments like today, The Righteous Brothers managed to come up with a hit only a few in the current music industry can match. With two contrasting vocal ranges Bobby and Bill made a team that produced one of the world’s most distinctive songs.

The hit “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” was their first song. It received wide acclamation and to date it is considered one of their finest works. In this classic video, the duet gets on stage, and each holds their microphone.

Young and full of life, Bill Medley begins the song with deep bass-baritone voice. Bobby Hatfield joins in with his tenor voice. The two voices blend in together into an electrifying wave that moves the crowd. In the background, you can hear the audience applauding amidst the duet singing their first song.

With just two microphones and a few drumbeats in the background, the Righteous Brothers give their first song a touch of class on stage.

After about four minutes of brilliance, the song ends in unison, and they close up in their individual voices. A live session that many music lovers would have loved to attend in the modern day.

The 60’s song brings a wave of nostalgic emotions that keeps you replaying the song over and over again. With their first song becoming a hit and topping on the billboard in 1965, the duet was destined to do finer works.

They continued to produce more songs as a group and even later pursued solo interests. Unfortunately, Bobby Hatfield went with the angels in 2003. However, he left a mark in the music industry and is still celebrated today.

The Righteous Brothers knew how to sing songs that heal the soul. Listen to their first song, “You’ve lost that loving feeling” and let us know what you think. Doesn’t it deserve to become popular again in today’s generation? Listen to it, love it and spread it!
