Everyone adores the movie Footloose. It is easily one of the most loved movies ever! The plot of the movie is absolutely genius and millions of viewers have agreed that Footloose cannot be beaten. In order to keep up with the creativity of the movie, one mastermind put together a mashup of a bunch of the dancing scenes from all of the movies and then set them to the song by Kenny Loggins known as “Footloose.” While these scenes were not in the normal Footloose style we all know and love, seeing in them this way is truly amazing! It’s so fun to think about the original movie and to reminisce about it. What a time to be alive! It does seem like it was very long ago!

The story of Footloose is actually based on a real, live place. Many people are not aware of this fact! The men and women of Elmore City, Oklahoma once thought of themselves as one of the more traditional and moralistic places in the whole country. The rules of the town were so strict that even dancing was prohibited. That all started to change when a group of high school students decided that the ban was completely outdated!

The protested the ban because they were eager to be able to dance when they went to their school prom. Leonard Coffee and Rex Kennedy were the real-life inspiration for Kevin Bacon’s character. Both of these students protested the ban over and over, to both the school and city officials, until they were able to get it overturned.
