Prince William recently had some kind words for Captain Tom Moore, a World War II veteran who fundraised millions by walking laps in his garden during the quarantine. The 99-year-old war hero responded by calling him "my super prince" in a video.

In an incredible story that has come out amid the Coronavirus pandemic, a singular man has risen to the occasion and fundraised millions towards the NHS in the UK. What's more, is that he is a World War II veteran and turns 100 years old at the end of the month. Captain Moore smashed his goal of £1,000 (or $1,200) he was hoping to raise online by walking 100 laps of his garden, according to the BBC.

Now, the de facto celebrity has hit more than 5,000% of his goal and raised an astonishing £28 million (or about $3.5 million) for the National Health Service. His incredible actions has garnered the attention of the royal family, and Prince William had a few words to say about the captain.

In a video sent by the BBC to Captain Tom Moore, Prince William said a few kind words about him, with his wife Kate Middleton by his side:

"What I love is that he's a 99-year-old war vet, he's been around a long time, he knows everything, and it's wonderful that everyone has been inspired by his story and his determination."

Even though the vet's Twitter account has shown that he has now received the Pride of Britain award, had a #1 single released in his honor called "You'll Never Walk Alone," and received thousands of birthday cards ahead of his birthday, the message from Prince William was an honor he seemed particularly proud of.

In response to the Duke of Cambridge's message, Captain Moore responded, "That, I think, is absolutely amazing, that my super Prince can say something like that."

The responses to the BBC's tweet of the video message and response have shown the respect and awe from many Twitter users who have noted his heroism and determinism as well.

It must have been an incredible moment for the veteran who has already accomplished so much in life to receive a message from a royal family member. What do you think of his story? Tell others about his achievements today.
