'World's Hottest Mom,' Joleen Diaz, Goes On Double Dates With Her Daughter

One mother daughter-duo from California is making headlines around the world — not only for their stunning good looks but also for their approach to dating.
Joleen Diaz, 44, became an internet sensation in 2020 when a variety of publications called her “the world’s hottest mom.” At that time, the school teacher told publications that she often got confused for being her teenage daughter’s sister thanks to her youthful looks.
“I religiously take care of my skin, and every day, wash my face in the morning and before I go to bed,” Joleen said in an interview from last year. “My mom used to buy Mary Kay and I would secretly use her skin-care products.” The school teacher adds that she started taking care of her skin when she was 12 or 13 years old.
Since the 44-year-old’s story was picked up in the media last year, Joleen has amassed a large following on social media. On Instagram, she has over 500,000 followers, and her posts regularly get tens of thousands of likes and hundreds of comments.
This year, Joleen made headlines again after she revealed that she and her daughter, 21-year-old Meilani, go on double dates together.
“When we are both seeing people we will often go bowling, to the movies, hikes, to the beach,” Joleen told reporters in 2021.
“We haven’t gone on a double date recently but she and I are very close so we definitely will again.”
Although Joleen said that she has plenty of suitors on social media, she also explained that her unusually youthful good looks mean that she gets reported on dating profiles.
Some users simply cannot believe that Joleen is 44, and so they think she is a catfish or that her account is fake.
“I’ve had my account deleted several times,” Joleen said, according to the Mirror. “It’s funny, I think people think I’m a fake account and report me.
“I could link my Instagram to my profile, which would likely help prove that it’s really me but I don’t do it because I think my social media doesn’t present the simple, down-to-earth person I am.”
Instead, Joleen said that she would rather “connect with someone and then explain my social media to them once they know me a bit more.'
As far as Joleen’s dating interests go, she said that she has some limits when it comes to age, especially since she has a 21-year-old daughter.
“Age isn’t a deal-breaker for me, it’s about finding someone I’m able to help continue becoming a better person and growing, and them doing the same for me. But I don’t want to date a toyboy,” Joleen explained.
“I would never even remotely consider dating someone who is young enough to be friends with my daughter.”
That line is particularly important since the two occasionally go on double dates together. Joleen even said that she gives her daughter dating advice.
“Melani asks for my advice on dating all the time,” the mother and schoolteacher said.
“I love that she trusts in the advice I give, I feel like she’s well-balanced in dating and I’m glad my experiences can help her out.”
