A group of workers was surprised to hear frantic yelps coming from a local water reservoir during their morning shift. Upon further inspection, the workers realized that two dogs had slipped into the water pit. The mother and her pup had been trapped overnight. A thick plastic cover had been placed over the opening to keep water from entering.

When the mother saw the workers approaching, she yelled even louder to attract their attention. The men took immediate action to save the two dogs. One man put on the appropriate outfit and lowered himself into the pit using ropes and a harness. The mother was skittish at first, but she quickly realized that the man was there to help.

The man grabbed the puppy first and then came back for the mother. Both of the dogs were caked in dirt and other debris from the cold night spent in the awful pit. When the mother was reunited with her puppy, she wasn't sure who to thank. She was eager to embrace all of her rescuers.

The mother and puppy were taken to an animal shelter to ensure that they didn't have any health concerns. Other than spending the night in a cold, wet pit, the dogs didn't have anything to worry about. They have been kept together and are awaiting the possibility of adoption.

Hopefully, a family will adopt the inseparable mother and puppy. They have been through so much together.

It's relieving to know that there are Good Samaritans who are willing to go out of their way to help innocent animals from danger. Those workers were going about their daily routines and decided to intervene to help another animal.

Thanks to their daring rescue, two dogs have been saved and nursed back to health. These men deserve some thanks and recognition from every animal lover. Maybe they could even get a few days off of work.

Nobody is sure how the mother and puppy found themselves in this pit. Although it is clear that they fell inside, the cause of their descent is not sure. Fortunately, they didn't suffer any injuries during the fall. They may have been able to climb out if it weren't for the rain and plastic cover.
