Workers Save A Dog And Her Puppy From Water Pit

Animals are naturally drawn to water, but there are instances when the need to stay hydrated can have dangerous consequences. This was the case when a mama dog and her adorable pup decided to venture down into a deep water hole one evening as seen in this video posted to Rumble in November of 2017.

While the two dogs likely had no trouble sliding down into the water hole, they, unfortunately, realized that they had no way to get back up. This was a manmade water hole, and the sides of the embankment were lined with a thick plastic cover.

The purpose of the cover was to prevent dirt from being washed into the hole. However, this cover made the embankment too slick for the dogs to climb out of.

When workers arrived at the site to begin their workday, they heard the frantic sounds of the dogs well before they saw them.

As soon as they peeked over the edge of the embankment and into the water hole, they saw the dogs struggling to get out.

The embankment was also too slick for the men to get up and out of without special equipment. In order to rescue the mama dog and her pup, one of the workers had to be hoisted down into the hole using a harness and a rope system.

The worker was somewhat timid about how the frantic dogs would react when he approached them.

His fear transformed into relief when the dogs started licking him. They seemed happy about being rescued.

The worker could only take one dog up the embankment at a time. He took the puppy first, and he soon returned to help the mother dog reach the top of the embankment safely. While the two dogs were wet and filthy, they were clearly grateful that these good Samaritans took the time and put forth extra effort to save them. This exceptional story about human kindness and compassion toward animals is only one of many.
