Workers Rescue Dog And Her Puppy Trapped In A Water Pit

A video posted to Rumble on November 10th, 2017 showed the moment some construction workers rescued a homeless dog and puppy who were looking for water out of a dangerous water pit.

A puppy slid down a tarp into a reservoir. The mother, seeing that her pup could not find his way out, did what any good mother would do. She went down into the reservoir to save her pup. Fortunately, she reached the pup before he went too far into the water. Unfortunately, they were now trapped in the reservoir, hoping and howling for a rescue.

The reservoir’s banks contained a black tarp lining. The lining’s slipperiness prevented the dogs from taking more than a couple of steps towards the top. Once all four paws made it on to the tarp, they would slide back down towards the reservoir.

Some workers noticed the plight of the pups and summoned help.

The video starts with the four men walking towards where the pups wait. You can hear the dogs whines and pleas for help long before they appear on the video.

One man hooked himself to a rope and allowed another to lower him into the reservoir. After receiving the excited greetings of the mother, he scooped the pup into his arms. His partner pulled him to the top, where he delivered the pup into the waiting hands of another worker. The mother waited impatiently at the bottom of the reservoir.

The worker descended a second time into the reservoir, gathering the mother when he reached the bottom. The worker and the mother were then pulled to safety. Upon reaching the top, the mother checked on the pup before thanking each of the four men for the rescue.

The video ends with one of the men carrying the pup to safety while the mother trotted behind, happy to be free of the slick reservoir.

The dogs looked tired, cold, and dirty. Hopefully, the workers brought the pups to someplace where vittles and water—the drinking variety, not the muddy reservoir variety—  awaited the rescued dogs.

If so, we are sure that the dogs would have continued their lively show of gratitude to the workers.
