Many women think that once you reach a certain age, society will often make you feel invisible. That was the case for Vicki, a retired 67-year-old from Iowa who used to work at the federal government in the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Having resigned herself to wearing wigs in the last four years to cover her thinning hair, Vicki has said that she'd love to style her own hair and go.

Well, with the help of Minneapolis' Christopher Hopkins AKA The Makeover Guy, Vicki received a brand new lease on life. From the get-go, Vicki appears to be a little guarded. She says it's because she's "just shy," which we can all understand, especially as one gets older and starts to lose confidence in their looks.

When asked how she feels on the inside, Vicki answers that she feels the same age she is — 67-years-old. She said she "feels ok on the inside, I'm fine," but that doesn't appear to be exactly the story she's showing through her appearance and demeanor.

But if there's anyone who can help Vicki come out of her shell a bit, it's The Makeover Guy, who manages to do so not only through his creative talents but also in the way he frankly asks women about themselves and listens carefully.

Vicki said she'd worn wigs for about four years due to her very fine and thin hair and that she'd like to "be able to sometimes just wear [her] hair." She also discussed that many women who go through a makeover by him discuss feeling invisible, which is exactly how she feels.

Well, Christopher heard her prayers and answered with an absolutely gorgeous makeover that emphasizes Vicki's natural beauty and which truly seemed to give her a new lease on life! She told The Makeover Guy she "thought it was an impossibility" to make her look good, but she's clearly thrilled with the results, even cracking a few jokes after her transformation was complete.

Isn't it incredible to see how someone's attitude can completely change after being given a new lease on life? Have you had a similar experience to Vicki before? We'd love to hear about it!
