Woman Who Forgot Husband After Major Head Injury Will Marry Him Again Next Year

When you are in love with someone, you just know that you want to spend the rest of your life with them. This was certainly the case for a young couple from Saanich, Canada.

Laura Faganello, now 23-years-old, was hit by a heavy pole at work just two years ago. She ended up suffering from a very traumatic brain injury after the accident. She couldn’t even remember things that happened just a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, one of those things was her wedding day. She and her husband Brayden had gotten married. But she could not remember anything at all about her big day. Laura stated that she felt very trapped after the accident. She felt as if all her choices had been taken from her. She also added that waking up and not knowing who her husband was made her feel even more unsettled. We can certainly imagine. It has to be awful to not remember someone you love.

It was also hard for Brayden during this time. He stated that he felt as though he was a stranger to his wife. He said that they used to spend their time giggling and having just a wonderful time together. Now, she was scared of him because she didn’t recognize him. Even saying goodbye and telling her that he loves her makes her nervous. The beautiful couple met as pen pals reported Chek News. After her accident, they basically lived together as roommates in the same house. While Brayden patiently waited for his wife to realize who he was he would leave love notes all over the house for her. Eventually, his amazing patience and dedication paid off for him.

Laura went to Brayden one day to say that she didn’t want to be in a marriage that she didn’t remember but that she wanted to get to know him. So, she asked her own husband out on a date. Soon the two were flirting with one another. We are lucky to report that this story has a happy ending. Brayden decided to propose for the second time on August 19th. Laura happily agreed to the proposal. They will be getting married for the second time next summer. The pair chose to marry on their actual anniversary.
