Everyone has something about their body that embarrasses them. But when an angel shows up in our lives to remind us that some of our most disliked features really do matter, we quickly feel a lot different about ourselves. That is the amazing basis of this beautiful story!

Brandalyn Mae Porter is one of those angels. She currently works in a Texas nursing home assisting the elderly who live there. She made a huge difference when she pointed out a positive outlook concerning a big insecurity many of us have. Her story and photo have since gone viral. When you see it you will understand why!

Brandalyn was painting one of the resident’s nails when she decided to turn the woman’s sad outlook into something positive. She then shared the story on her Facebook page, Love What Matters. She talks about how she was painting a new resident’s nails when the lady mentioned that she wanted clear polish. Brandalyn asked why she would choose clear over an actual color.

The resident told her that she thought her hands were ugly, and she didn’t want anything to draw attention to them. Brandalyn explained to the woman that her hands told the story of her life. She went on to say that her hands held people and things that many cannot.

They told the story of care, love, and adventure. Because of Brandalyn, the resident decided on a bright pink color for her nails!
