Tracy was turning 53 in a couple of weeks and her hair had not been doing what it used to. She says she's been trying to grow it out to its original curliness but now it's just "flat" her hair is and she's unsatisfied with how it just "hangs". "It's not fun, it does nothing for me," she says, shaking her head no.

She describes getting a makeover as a great way to revive herself, and to get that spice and sass back in her life. "I've never given anyone access to do whatever they want. But because (Christopher) is an artist, I'm like, yup, he's got the vision, I trust that," says Tracy, who's an artist herself.

"I'm classic yet (there) can be artsy side, can be a romantic side, so I like versatility," she says. Barely finished with her sentence, Christopher chimes: "Pixie!" "There, that's what I'm afraid of," she playfully replies.

Tracy is an established artist. According to her biography, she has won copious awards and has had solo exhibitions of her work all around Minnesota. The now 54-year-old is also an interior designer.

In the video, she goes on to share that the last time she had a guy cut her hair was when she was going into junior high. She describes her seventh-grade hair as something she could wear "in a ponytail going in and could not coming out."

"I'm actually more nervous than I thought I'd be. But it's also excitement," she says, hopeful. "I want to feel great again."

And... voilà! Christopher's vision for Tracy materialized into a fun, tousled lob (long bob) in a shade of chocolate brown. Her makeup look is super light and natural, which lets her megawatt smile shine through.

"It's awesome. It's sassy," she rejoices. "And it hasn't been this short since seventh grade. "I love it."

She leaves viewers with this advice: "If you're ever wanting to do something or if you're in a rut, do this. It's worth it."

Send Tracy your compliments in the comments and be sure to show this to someone who you think might want to do something similar!
