Kathi had called workmen to make a long-awaited remodel on her bathroom. With her illness making life so difficult, Kathi thought it would be a good idea to turn her old bathroom into a more comfortable and pleasant place. They were hired to demolish the existing fixture, install a modern shower, replace existing tile, and put in a new vanity.

They were also going to fix Kathi's water heater, which needed replacement. But when they got to the 10-year-old water heater, the two-man crew made a shocking find.

The water heater had been installed incorrectly when it was put in 10 years ago. For the past decade, it had been leaking dangerous gas that was poisoning Kathi! The contractors realized immediately the serious implications of their find and went to tell Kathi.

When she learned of this disturbing news, the symptoms of her illness fell together like puzzle pieces. For years, doctors couldn't find out what was wrong - but two men who specialized in fixing water heaters were able to figure it out.
