Woman Reunites With Her Three Cow ‘Babies’ She Had To Give Away After Becoming Homeless

Oct 30, 2020 by apost team

For one animal lover, Wanda, the idea of a cow as a pet came readily to her. This intrepid woman saved the lives of three cows, named Jessie, Syndey, and Dexter. These were not working animals or food sources for Wanda, they were her friends. Unfortunately, tragedy struck late last year, which forced her to give her cow babies away.

Wanda was on the brink of becoming homeless and, in January 2020, she made the difficult decision of giving her cows away to the Austin Farm Sanctuary. That's when Dr Phil caught wind of Wanda's story and made sure he made a long-awaited reunion between this woman and her cows possible.

Earlier this year, Wanda contacted Austin Farm Sanctuary, a local nonprofit that specializes in rescued farm animals. Often, their animals are recovered from abuse or slaughter. However, they are always happy to adapt to new circumstances. They agreed to take in the trio of cows and give them the care they needed.

Jessie and Dexter were saved by Wanda from a slaughter yard. She saw the beautiful animals and knew they had to be saved. After being a part of Wanda's life for so long, giving up her cows was not easy. Through tears, she explained her situation.

"I might end up living in my truck", Wanda said on the Dr Phil show. "I'm just doing what's best for them," she added. "If I were doing what's best for me I'd be keeping them."

Although Dr. Phil is primarily known for exploiting his guests, he occasionally takes some time to try and help them as well. When he saw Wanda's plight, he wanted to reunite her with her furry friends. Dr. Phil went out to Austin Sanctuary and heard Wanda's story first hand. Wanda was a hero in the eyes of the sanctuary having spent so much time and effort to save the cows.

Wanda drove 500 miles out to Austin to visit her babies again. "She's still beautiful", Wanda said admirably while looking at Dexter. "These are my family", she said, "they've helped me through a lot and I'm so happy to see them.

For now, Wanda's outlook is still unknown. She is still struggling to get back on her feet, and for now, her babies will remain at the sanctuary. However, she is working hard to establish the stability she needs to take her cattle back home. Hopefully, soon they will be able to live together again.

This video of a woman reunited with her pet cows is a wonderful example that any animal can form a bond with their human and that sometimes sacrifice is the best way to show an animal you truly love it.
