Woman Once Called 'Giraffe' By Bullies Now Embraces Her Height And Long Legs

It's not easy having to deal with looking different from others when you are growing up. Kids can be cruel when they see a person looks different from them. They are likely to tease that person when they see them due to their differences. It's a sad fact of life that kids can be mean and downright terrible to a person that is different.

Holly Burt knows this firsthand. That is because she grew quickly when she was in high school. When she was just 12-years-old, she already stood an amazing 6-feet tall. Holly not only towered over most of her classmates, but she also was taller than a lot of her teachers. She was even taller than her second-grade teacher. Imagine that!

Holly is both the youngest and the tallest person in her family. Of course, being that tall comes with a lot of issues. There were always bullies ready to have a go at her everywhere that she turned. They would tease and taunt Holly because of her size. She got used to hearing names like "giraffe" and "tree" during her middle and high school years she told The Daily Mail.

Barcott TV found where Holly was back in 2015. At the time, she was working as a design student. The 20-year-old blond is quite the beauty now! She is also hoping to beat the current record holder in the country. Model Lauren Williams currently holds the record for the longest legs. Holly believes that her legs beat Laurens by a half an inch.

When measured, her hips to legs come out to an amazing 49.5 inches. She believes that her legs are the longest in the United States. Holly told Barcroft TV that she wants to be the title owner.

Unfortunately, being as tall as Holly still comes with some challenges. She has problems fitting into seats when she gets into cars and onto planes. She also struggles with buying clothes that fit her properly.

But she says that all of the stares and comments only forced her to be a stronger person. Holly is now living in New York City. To learn more about this amazing girl, check out the video below:
