Tiny homes have been trending for a while now, and they do not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. They are cute, compact, fun to design, and a lot of them are even mobile. There is so much to love about tiny homes. Tyshae Walton moved from California to Texas to live in a tiny home in a tiny house village — a dream she has had since she was a little girl. She was featured on the YouTube channel Tiny Home Tours in January this year.

Tyshae is originally from California, according to the below video. She moved to Dallas, Texas to live in a tiny house village in her very own tiny home. On the outside, her tiny home is made of white panels with white pane windows, a red roof, and a red french door. It even has a mini porch that is preceded by three steps. The first room you enter past the main door is the kitchen area. "We have a full fridge here, which I love," Tyshae says in the video. The fridge is like any fridge you would have in a normal-sized home, with a freezer and lots of space for fruits and vegetables. Right below the fridge, there is a nice compartment where she keeps all her seasoning.

Tyshae says she loves how the drawer of seasoning is right next to her oven. Oh, and like the fridge, it's also a full oven. With all her herbs and spices just next door, Tyshae is able to season her food before popping it into the oven conveniently.

On top of the oven, is a stove with four burners. "The stove size for me is perfect because I love to cook," she explains. "I like to have all four burners going when I'm cooking." Tyshae goes on to share how her kitchen is the ideal size to prepare meals for when guests arrive, like her nieces and nephews. "The more I cook, the happier they are," Tyshae says. So far, this tiny home pretty much functions just as well as a regular-sized home would!

The interior of the home is made with a lot of wood. The hood over the stove has a wooden accent, too, which Tyshae describes as "really, really pretty." Her countertop is made of quartz, which Tyshae picked out herself. "So sink-wise, I like to have a lot of big pots and pans. I do a lot of crockpot cooking as well. I like to let things soak. So the bigger the sink, the more space I have," she describes. The bottom of the countertop boasts generous storage space for all of Tyshae's silverware. She has two cute wooden shelves above the countertop where she keeps her rice, fruits, and appliances like a food blender.

On the upper part of the room, Tyshae displays some artwork that her friends have given to her. She explains that she is an "affirmation type of person." "A lot of these words speak to me daily [...] 'Be strong, be positive, take chances.'" She says these are relevant, especially for a tiny house lifestyle.

One of her favorite parts of the kitchen, she says, is the extra trimming that is along the border of the windows. She says that she loves how it matches the backdrop and "the way that it pops, which keeps it nice and natural." Another awesome feature of the house is the ceiling fan that she has which oscillates, and she loves that it fits to the earthy tones of the house.

Tyshae explains that the reason she "went tiny" is because she is a very minimalistic and simple type of woman. She has been dreaming about owning and living in a tiny home since she was 12 years old. Her mom had given her a journal for her to write about how she wanted the home to look and feel. When she got older, she gave the journal to a tiny home designer, and she says they "literally brought everything in that journal to life."

Tyshae is a massage therapist. She shows her massage area on the tour and tells us about how she also uses the area for spiritual energy work, reading, and writing. The workspace also houses one of her closets where she keeps all her coats. Talk about maximizing space!

Tyshae's bathroom is big enough to do a spin, and it even has a dual washer and dryer, which is her favorite thing about the bathroom. She is conscious of the way she designed it, saying that she built it with her "taller" and "wider" friends in mind. She talks about her future plans to add more shelves in the bathroom to hold more of her toiletries. Oh, and did we mention she has a full bathtub?

One of the most unique things about Tyshae's tiny home is that she has a "dip" in the wall where she can fit her TV and other things, something she says a lot of tiny homes do not have. Tyshae keeps the theme of the home as earthy and natural as possible. She has many air-purifying plants placed in the different parts of the house as well as big windows that allow for a lot of natural light.

Her bedroom looks absolutely cozy, and it is also her mini library. Tyshae has a window next to her bed which leads directly to her balcony, where she goes every morning and does her yoga on. Her neighbors are fellow tiny-home owners, and they sometimes go up to her balcony to hang out.

Tyshae plans to grow her garden next. She already has all the mulch put in place, and we are excited to see how it beautifies her already gorgeous home.
