An engagement ring is a precious item. The thought of losing it can be frightening to any man or woman. It is even more chilling to think you can lose it in the deep waters of the ocean. But that is exactly what happened to Gina Bopp at a beach recently. Her engagement ring started to slip from her finger, and before she could do anything, it was gone. Thankfully, she could enlist the aid of some treasure hunters who managed to find it for her.

Gina Bopp was in the company of some friends at Rockaway Beach when she decided to go into the water with her friend's kid. She was having fun playing with the child when suddenly, something unusual started happening. She felt her ring sliding from her finger. She tried to stop it, but it moved too fast.

And just like that, her engagement ring was gone. Gina was distressed. She tried looking for it, but it was not easy for her. Her friends also tried, but the ring was nowhere to be found.

After the incident, Gina tried to replace this ring with a fake one from an online store. After all, she was losing hope of ever getting back her ring. Even after buying the fake ring, however, she could not take her mind of the one she had lost.

You see, the lost ring was a special gift from her husband. The ring represents the special bond that she shared with her husband. What she bought as a replacement could not fill that gap. This is what she had in mind when she spent close to 8 hours the following day at the spot where she had lost her ring.

She kept searching, hoping that by a stroke of luck, she would find the ring washed up at the beach. The search, however, wasn't bearing any fruits. Gina's hope of reconnecting with her ring kept dwindling, but she never gave up.

The next day, a thought crossed her mind; she decided to ask for help from a metal detecting shop in NYC. The mission, however, ended in frustration because the shop too could not retrieve the ring. Merrill, the shop owner, called her treasure-hunting friends to come to the rescue. To Gina's delight, they found the ring.

One of the friends brought a metal detector that she had received as a Christmas gift. In only 40 minutes, she had found the ring using the device. It was buried close to 2 feet deep. Tracy Behling, the woman whose metal detector gift had retrieved the ring, said that she had never found anything as valuable as Gina's engagement ring. Although the treasure hunters only wanted compensation for gas and tolls, Gina and her husband decided to give them something extra for their trouble.

Gina found the ring because of two things; she was persistent and she sought help. As you can see from the story, a turnaround may happen even when it looks like there is no solution to your problem. As such, never give up hope or shy away from asking for the help that you need. Many people are often willing to help. Next time you are in a fix, reach out to people. You may be surprised who will end up saving the situation for you

Do you know of a friend or family member who finds it difficult to seek help when in dire need? This would be a good story for them. Let them hear about it and benefit from the useful lesson that there is nothing wrong with saying that you need assistance.
