Marnie from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, made the international journey to Minnesota to meet the famous Christopher Hopkins, aka the Makeover Guy, to get a new look.

She opened up to Hopkins about her struggle with multiple sclerosis. Although she prefers to wear her hair in an up-do, she has found it difficult to do so lately as she now has a “bad arm.”

Marnie revealed she has worn her hair straight most of her life and isn’t keen on the colors red or gold.

She also said that the Makeover stop was a pit-stop on her way to California for a vacation, where she planned to surprise her husband with her new look.

“My husband is meeting me at the airport, he’s flying down from Edmonton and we’re flying to California for holiday so I don’t even mind if he doesn’t recognize me at the airport.”

When Hopkins is done working his magic, he reveals a stunning new look for Marnie: her hair is now dyed a lighter shade of blonde and is cut into a shorter style, perfect for keeping her hair out of the way without the need to put it up while still looking stylish. To go with her new hairstyle, the Makeover Guy team gave her a sexy pale pink lip with matching eyeshadow and a dramatic lash.

“I love this!” she says with excitement.

She was also sure her husband would love it just as much as she does.

“He’s happy if I’m happy, so, I’m happy,” Marnie said.

Marnie admitted that the makeover was truly more than she had expected, but “way better.”

“I love the cut, I love the makeup,” she said. “It was a great day, all-around fantastic,” she added.
