Do you think of yourself as a color? A lot of times colors and even flavors are used to describe people in a unique way. Someone that is plain or boring may be called "vanilla". When someone is sad or depressed, they are often referred to as being "blue".

As for Mauree, she described herself as "beige"...

Mauree made a trip to a different continent just to visit Christopher Hopkins, a master of makeovers. Hopkins specializes in makeovers of those that are middle-aged. Lots of women would travel to see him in hopes that they can put their tired and drab looks behind them. They hope to emerge from a cocoon and be the beautiful butterfly they once were, again.

Christoper has a shop set up in one of the unlikeliest places that you would expect such Hollywood results to come from, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The outcome of his work is certainly not described as beige.

Mauree discovered Hopkin's work on YouTube. When she saw his videos, she knew that he was exactly who she wanted to give her a makeover. She knew Hopkins could change her look and take every bit of the beige away. She had somewhat of a wheat color to her hair and it almost matched the color of her skin. This made it appear that her skin and hair were the same color without separation.

Hopkins was ready for the challenge and knew that the "beige" needed to be tackled head on. He began working with her hair to give it a much-needed update. This was adding definition and depth into her once drab hair.

When she arrived, her hair was originally cut to a layered bob. It was styled really pretty but the style wasn't the right shape for the shape of her face which happened to be pear-shaped. Hopkins cut and styled her hair into a wedge cut. This cut was able to give her the appearance of having a facelift.

Mauree states that she didn't hesitate to trust Hopkins with every ounce of his ability, no matter how artistic it was. She knew he had the skills to transform and sculpt her into what she had dreamed of.

There wasn't much needed to enhance her natural beauty. A little makeup was applied. Neutral colors were used for the foundation. Hopkins used some darker colors to create dramatic eyes and her face was finished off with soft lips.
