Woman 'Cried The Whole Way Home' After Getting A Failed Tattoo While Online Users Warn Her To Check The Details First

Before getting a tattoo, people should make up their minds about the design that they’re getting as it will be permanently on their skin for life. That is, unless they decide to get it removed by laser which is quite expensive and painful.

Most people love sharing their tattoo journey on social media as they are happy with the results, but there are also those who are unfortunate because of a mistake made by their respective tattoo artists.

This is exactly what happened to a woman with the username @user8171938461618394 who took to TikTok to share her horrific experience which left her in tears.

The woman first shared a video in February 2023 where she could be seen breaking down to the point that her mascara was running down her face. In the text attached to the clip, she wrote, “When your tattoo is nothing like you asked for and it’s huge.”

She then proceeded to tell her audience that she got a butterfly tattoo, but she was not pleased with the results as it looked like it came out of a coloring book and it was so big, which is nothing like the reference photo she presented. The woman added: "I'm literally stuck with this f***ing thing for the rest of my life."

In a separate video, she explained that she wasn’t going to tag the person who did her tattoo, but she noted that she was able to work with him prior to getting the butterfly tattoo.

The user later presented the inspiration photo, which she considered as “simple.” Later on, she revealed the tattoo she got. “I cried the whole way home,” she said.

The woman in the video acknowledged that she was “dramatic” and she defended the artist as she noted that he was good.

In another video, she attached a comment from another user who told her that people get stencils first before getting a tattoo and the artist would ask the client whether they like it or not.

She explained that the reference photo she presented was sent to her tattoo artist months prior and then the day finally came and she walked in to get it inked on her body. It was all casual at first, and she claimed that the artist did his own rendition of the design on his iPad, but she was only able to see it for “two seconds,” and from what she saw, it was the same as the reference photo, but the artist told her it was “a little bit different.”

When the stencil was placed on her back, she couldn’t look at it in a mirror as she was lying face down and there were a lot of people so she had to look at it through a photo, and for her, it looked fine, but she was not satisfied with the results.

In the end, she said: “It’s not as bad as what I thought, but when you have expectations for something, you’re gonna be upset about it… I am dramatic and I will say that with no hesitation.”

Online users were divided in the comment section as most of them noted that she should’ve looked at the stencil harder before getting it done.

“if you have expectations, you would look at it more in detail first of all on his iPad and then the picture he took of it on your back. It's on you,” one wrote.

“You wear something to be able to always see the stencil however if it's not what you wanted get it removed,” another one wrote.
