Woman Chops Off Waist-Long Hair In Extreme Makeover

Nancy Hanks exchanged her waist-long hair for a medium strawberry blonde cut with feathery curls, all thanks to Christopher Hopkins aka The Makeover Guy.

"My name is Nancy Hanks," she says while holding up her waist-long hair. "I am in for a cut and a color and a full makeover."

Right off the bat, Christopher Hopkins aka The Makeover Guy establishes a fun and easygoing relationship with his client, tossing Nancy's hair playfully toward the mirror. "You could do an ad for Herbal Essences shampoo," Hopkins teases. He then proceeds to do play with Nancy's hair some more, inducing laughter from all across the room. Nancy's hair is extremely long – she's like a real-life Rapunzel.

Then, the big moment. Hopkins grabs his scissors, and within seconds, Nancy's hair length is off by 3/4.

While waiting for her the hair color to set, Nancy meets with Christopher's mother Joann Hopkins, also known as "The Wardrobe Woman," to talk about how best Nancy can dress for her body shape. Joann gives Nancy tips on the type of jeans to wear, and how the style of the jeans can affect the way a person's legs appear: shorter or longer. She leaves Nancy with a sage piece of advice:

"Wherever you put detail on your body, that's where we're gonna look. Put it where you want people to look."

The next station is makeup. While doing Tammy's eyes makeup artist Tammy comments: "For some reason, there's just extra radiance with her today. Her eyes are everything. They look so good." After, Christopher gives Nancy the final touch-ups for her now strawberry hair. He gave her big feathery curls, which look galaxies away from her weighed-down waist-long hair.

"This is unbelievable," Nancy cries. "It's been beyond my expectations." Well, Chris, you've done it again!
