Ever since watching The Lion King we all learned that not all lions are out to kill us.

In this heartwarming tale between lion and man, two lions are reunited with the woman who raised them.

Malkia and Adelle are lions who currently reside in a rescue for big cats in Slovakia. Their parents were a part of circus acts all across Eastern Europe. Unfortunately, when they were just cubs their mother abandoned them.

Don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Thankfully Michaela, alongside two other humans, raised them and gave them a new life outside of the circus.

A few times a month Michaela comes to see the lions. What happens when they meet is truly amazing. The lions immediately recognize her and run towards her at a slightly alarming rate. Although a fence separates Michaela and the lions, Malkia and Adelle do not let that get in the way of reuniting with their godmother.

The Lions go on the hind legs and wrap their paws around Michaela while nuzzling her head.

To the average human, it may seem like she is about to be attacked but those who work at Big Cat Rescue know that the lions are just being adorable bundles of affection.

Although Michaela typically only visits them a few times a month, their relationship is very much alive. How cute!
