Nicole Poppic had had it with her daughter and her propensity to be late to school. After it had happened one too many times, Poppic felt as if the school administrators needed a proper explanation about her daughter's excessive lateness.

Nicole Poppic had had it with her daughter and her propensity to be late to school. After it had happened one too many times, Poppic felt as if the school administrators needed a proper explanation about her daughter's excessive lateness.

The mother decided to be honest about why her daughter was always late, writing a note to the school explaining that her daughter, Cara, was suffering from "teenage-ism."

The note went on to explain the symptoms of this disease. In a hilarious style, Poppic detailed Cara's inability to remove herself from the bed in the morning. She also noted that Cara has a tendency to talk back to the person who gave birth to her.

Poppic said that her daughter seemed to be recovering now after she had to witness her phone fly out of the car window. She instructed the school to call her if the condition flared up again.

According to Daily Mail, the note read as follows:

To whom it may concern:

Cara is tardy this morning as a result of a condition known as teenage-ism. Adolescents across our great nation are afflicted and there is no known cure.

Symptoms are multitudinous, but this particular morning, she suffered from an inability to remove herself from her bed, and also felt the need to talk back to her birth-giver.

She seems to be recovering her senses, after watching her cell phone fly out the car window. Please call if there is another flare-up.

Thank you,

Nicole Poppic

This was back in 2016 and when the mother posted the note on social media and it quickly went viral. Coincidentally, Cara was not late to school again. It is no surprise that so many parents related to this funny yet honest recount of what happens in many homes in the morning. It certainly is not easy to rouse a sleeping teenager from their bed and get them to school on time.

Do you relate to this note? After you read it, be sure to spread it to other parents that you know and give them a chuckle.
