Willie Nelson Wins ‘Best Country Solo Performance’ At 62nd Grammy Awards For “Ride Me Back Home”

Willie Nelson won the ‘Best Country Solo Performance’ Grammy Award this Sunday. 

The award was given out just before the live award ceremony, just as most of the other country music categories.

The legendary country musician won the prestigious award for his hit song, “Ride Me Back Home.”

Nelson beat out Tyler Childers’ “All Your’n,” Ashley McBryde’s “Girl Goin’ Nowhere,” “God’s Country” by Blake Shelton, and “Bring My Flowers Now” by Tanya Tucker for the award.

This year’s award marks Nelson’s ninth Grammy since he started his career. 

He won his first Grammy in 1975 for ‘Best Male Country Vocal Performance’ for his song, ‘Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain’.
