Legendary country singer Willie Nelson, 87, has released a new song, I’m The Only Hell My Mama Ever Raised ahead of Mother’s Day.
Nelson released a lyric video for the tune on his official Youtube page this Friday, which featured vintage-looking mother’s day cards in the background.

The song, which was originally recorded by Johnny Paycheck in the 1970s, tells the humorous story of a mom trying her best to raise a respectable man, only for him to end up getting arrested.
The tune is set to be on Nelson’s upcoming album, First Rose of Spring, which will be released on July 3. It will be his 70th album since the beginning of his decade-spanning career.

According to the Rolling Stone, the track will be the 9th on the album, with Our Song, a ballad written by Chris Stapleton, preceding it.
“I can easily say Willie Nelson is one of my biggest musical influences,” Stapleton said of working with the singer. “It just doesn’t get any better than hearing him sing a song I wrote.”
