Wildlife Conservationist Risks Being Injured By An Angry Swan But Refuses To Ignore A Cygnet In Trouble

There is nothing more wonderful than the love of a parent. Whether you are witnessing a human mother protect her child during a catastrophe or a young doe protect her baby deer in the woods, we all love to see how strong a mother's love can be. The founder of the Wildlife Aid Foundation recently saw this first-hand as he tried to rescue a cygnet near the River Thames.

On the opposite side of a mother's love is a mother's anger. Any loving and dedicated mother will do everything that they can to protect their little one. Some may even lash out in anger when their child is in danger or hurt. For example, a mother who has a sick child in the hospital could easily go off on the doctor who is simply trying to treat him. It's because we love and care for our kids so much that we often act out irrationally. If a mother's love can be strong and furious, so can a father's! You don't ever want to make a dad mad, human or animal. They can react in ways you don't want to see!

This was the case for a swan and her baby, known as a cygnet. The baby was near a water source with its family when it became stuck in a fence. There was no way for the baby to get out without the help of humans. Not only was its head stuck through the hole, but the baby had also managed to get a wing stuck just as badly. Simon Cowell is a man who is used to working with angry wildlife, as he is the founder of the "Wildlife Aid Foundation" and presenter of Animal Planet's Wildlife SOS show. He was called to help the cygnet that had become stuck in the fence. The baby and her family were near the River Thames. While the job sounded simple enough, Simon had to help the baby as its angry father flapped around.

You will smile as you watch Simon carefully maneuver the little baby out from the fence. He is able to get him out without hurting him in any way. However, the father only sees him as a predator. As Simon works with the baby, the dad angrily flaps his wings around him. He even gets close enough to hit him time and again! Listen to Simon as he works to free the little animal. It is truly funny to witness!
