Nara Park, close to Osaka, Japan is home to more than one thousand Sika deer and is famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees. The park recently released some pictures that show the deer enjoying themselves peacefully lying beneath the pretty blossom trees.

Usually, Nara Park is a much visited destination as it is popular amongst tourists who want to see and photograph the beautiful blossom trees. At the moment, however, the park has fallen quiet as visitors aren’t allowed in due to the current pandemic.

That means the deer living in the park are now able to roam free on the premises without being disturbed by any visitors. Therefore recent pictures show the Sika deer sitting around beneath the pink blossoms so peacefully that one can be sure they have no "i-deer" what is going on in the world right now.

According to Japan Guide, there are currently more than one thousand Sika deer living at Nara Park that “have become a symbol of the city and have even been designated as a natural treasure.”

When the park is open to the public, visitors can buy deer crackers as a treat for the graceful animals. Some of them even learned how to ask visitors for food by bowing to them.

Still, the park advises people to not tease the deer and to give it the cracker immediately as “teasing them makes them angry,” according to Nara Park’s website.
