Wiener Dog Gives Loving Kisses To Huge Lion

We've seen odd animal relationships in the wild featured before, but this relationship between a tiny wiener dog and a huge male lion is perhaps the oddest and most unlikely. Five year old lion, Bonedigger, and seven year old wiener or Dachshund, Milo, are the best of friends at the animal park they call home. Video proof even exists to show how close these two actually are, living, eating, playing, and even grooming together.

The G.W. Exotic Animal Park is located in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and is home to many animals despite where they were born and raised. The pair are so close because they were raised together, making it much more easy to see why they would be the best of pals and able to live in a shared space without any issues.

Despite any natural instincts that Bonedigger might have, he only sees Milo as part of his pride and considers him pretty dominant in the pack. Milo isn't the only dog that Bonedigger is familiar with though, as several dogs actually call the park home. In the past, examples of animals of different species being raised together have also resulted in really strong bonds that defied natural predator prey expectations.

The animal park that the pair calls home was unfortunately damaged during a flood a few years ago, but workers have managed to maintain a comfortable lifestyle for each animal. Proceeds raised from visitors coming to the part help ensure that all the animals can be cared for, and to continue to pay for repairs from past storm damage.

The now popular video is definitely a must see. It opens with full maned, Bonedigger sunbathing at the park, and Milo at his feet appearing to give him kisses. It turns out that Milo is actually grooming Bonedigger and helping clean his teeth in what can be considered a symbiotic relationship behavior. Milo the dog barely reaches the mouth of his lion friend, but that doesn't stop him from sharing the special moment. The video then goes on to share several photos of Milo and Bonedigger sharing cute and cuddly moments before cutting back to the pair where Bonedigger is now returning the favor and grooming Milo, as reported here at ABC News.

It's sometimes hard to believe that animals of this type and size can get along so well. But if animals can do it, maybe us humans can embrace our differences too. Remind your friends about this by passing this video on.
