Stephanie had adopted her daughter, Haley, when she was only eight months old. With Haley growing fast, her mom found out that she didn't have the proper knowledge to help the two-year-old with her hair.

She wrote a note and published it on Facebook. Her plea was for help giving Haley's hair proper treatment. She has asked friends. She has asked strangers in the supermarket. No matter who she asks, she was still struggling.

Despite being as gentle as possible, her daughter still gets distressed just getting her hair brushed in the morning. It looks good for a couple of hours, then it start to get tangled. Stephanie has never had to deal with black hair before. She had no clue what she was doing wrong. Haley's hair was never right.

Her plea for assistance got a ton of positive responses. Black women from all around gave her advice on how to keep Haley's delicate hair in good condition. What was even better is that a local woman insisted on giving Stephanie some hands-on lessons right in her home!

Monica Hunter arrived with everything needed in hand. She helped Stephanie go through the proper steps to keeping Haley's hair looking good. She did it for nothing, refusing Stephanie's offers of money. By the end of the lesson, Stephanie had more confidence with her daughter's hair.

A bit of oil in the hair, parted into two, then put up in ponytails, with a pretty headband. Talk about cute!!

When Monica's three daughters heard what she did, they were a bit jealous. The moms decided on bringing their daughters together for a play date.

Stephanie expressed her gratitude for Monica's help. And she said the world would be a much better place if there were more people like Monica in the world.
