When you are genuinely in love with someone, you have no reason to hide away from them and text secretly.

You aren’t afraid to have your phone out and you can keep it unlocked. You don’t have any fake contact names and you aren’t scurrying to delete messages that you don’t want them to see.

You don’t sneak off in the middle of the night to answer phone calls you shouldn’t be getting in the first place. They can pick up and use your phone at any given moment. When you are genuinely in love with someone, you don’t need to download dating apps like Tinder. You don’t need to match up with anyone, even if you think you are only doing it for the ego boost.
You never even consider flirting with other people, even if you believe that the flirting is harmless fun

Because you know it can lead to more dangerous liaisons. You have already found the person you want, and you have no plans on looking for anyone else now that you have. When you are genuinely in love with someone, you never act as if you are single and looking. You don’t offer your number to anyone who is interested in you. You don’t act as if you are looking to hook up with anyone else.
You are careful to stay friendly yet guarded during conversations, as you don’t want anyone to misinterpret your friendliness as flirting

When you are genuinely in love with someone, you have the self-control it takes to stay faithful. You don’t get black-out drunk and then blame alcohol for your cheating ways. You don’t use substances and then flirt with others. You don’t keep your ex on the back burner in case things don’t work out with your current partner. You aren’t looking for your relationship to end so that you can move on to others. You won’t even consider giving someone else a chance since you are already happy with your current relationship.

When you are genuinely in love with someone, you don’t go running straight back to your ex just because of one small argument. You aren’t going to hop into bed with the first person to come along just because you didn’t get your way one night. You are not going to destroy such a wonderful relationship just because of one bad fight. You stay and talk to your partner and work things out instead of running out the door and ducking phone calls. When you are genuinely in love with someone, you never want to hurt them by flirting with other people in front of them.
When you genuinely love someone, you will always take that love seriously.

You don’t flirt with others for fun even when they aren’t around. If they get upset because they catch you looking at someone else, you talk to them about it. You don’t just say they are crazy. You are considerate of their feelings and would never want them to be hurt by your actions, intentional or not.
When you are genuinely in love with someone, you never even consider cheating as an option. This includes both emotional and physical cheating. You would never risk hurting the person you love just because of your sex drive. They mean too much to you and you will never risk their love. You don’t conduct online affairs, either. They mean too much to you and you never want to lose them. You are kind to them and treat them with the respect they deserve. When you genuinely love someone, you are dedicated to being loyal all of the time.
Take a look at what we mean by true loyalty:

- You would never try to do or say anything that would embarrass your partner in public.
- They know that they can trust you to keep their secrets, no matter what.
- You will always be respectful of any weaknesses your partner has, and you will try to do what you can to help them overcome them.
- You will always prioritize their needs. They come first in the relationship and above most others.
- They know that you will never leave them. They believe that they can count on you, emotionally and physically, to be there for them.
- You will always keep your word no matter what.
- You will never speak ill of your partner to others. While you may share some frustrations with family and friend, you never tear them down or degrade them.
