Get your tissues out. As if an old man couldn't have anything else go wrong after his wife gets cancer, he gets cancer, then his longtime dog dies. See how a young man made old man Milton's day.

Life isn't fair, and it certainly isn't easy. Some of us face health issues like depression, chronic pain, paralysis. Others don't have any reliable family members. Many people are born into low-income homes that face generational poverty. While life may not be fair, positivity comes out of left field at times; you're thrown both good and bad things out of seemingly nowhere throughout life.

Take Milton Lowe, a longtime resident of northern Mississippi. Just a month ago, old man Milton's wife kicked cancer to the curb after a long, drawn-out battle with the disease. Around that time, he was thrown a curveball - he was diagnosed with cancer just days after his wife's doctors announced she was in remission.

He regularly had to drive over 100 miles to Memphis to receive chemotherapy infusions. Though these visits didn't last longer than a few long hours, his 12-year-old German shepherd - Bo - was found lifeless. Bo helped Milton through his wife's cancer, years of barely making it by on a fixed income, and old age. Milton's best friends were his wife and their dog.

As any good dog owner would do, elderly Milton decided to bury Bo. He didn't have a shovel at home, so he ran up to a local Ace Hardware store. Upon entering that Ace Hardware, teenaged employee Sam Coleman-Dancer walked him through the store to find what all Milton needed. Throughout that shared walk, Milton told Sam all about his beloved Bo. Stand-up Sam offered to dig the grave for Milton if he'd hold off until his shift ended. Milton agreed. After Sam helped bury Bo, he was offered payment by Mr. Lowe.

Sam declined the money, but he did take one thing - a picture Sam said he'd cherish forever.

Would you have taken that money? I bet one of your friends would have - another one of them will probably cry if they read THIS story.
