When This Cow Escaped A Slaughterhouse, These Unlikely Animals Came To Her Rescue

Bonnie the cow found herself in a place that she wasn’t sure she would ever leave. She was only four-months-old and had been living in a slaughterhouse her whole life. One day, she saw that her herd mates and family were being rounded up and were not going to be returned. She made her escape when no one was looking and managed to flee off into the woods.

News of the disappearing cow quickly spread around the town. However, everyone became divided on just what they would do when they finally located her. One half of the town wanted Bonnie to be rescued and placed in an animal sanctuary. The other half believed that she should be sent back to the slaughterhouse.

But one day, a hunter was able to catch some unusual wildlife footage in the woods. There was Bonnie laying out in the hay, but Bonnie wasn’t alone!

No one realized that Bonnie had made some new friends upon her escape. She now had friends and protectors who were looking after her! The news of the unusual herd mates surprised everyone who heard. Bonnie had managed to make friends with a local family of deer and was living among them for protection.

When news of her current location got out a neighbor started to visit Bonnie regularly, dropping off food for her and trying to slowly gain her trust. It took a while, but it was worth it! Bonnie began to trust the neighbor and would allow others near here.

The neighbor called the animal sanctuary, who came out and took her to a location where she will be cared for and protected forever. We are so thankful Bonnie and the neighbor bonded enough for this to happen!
