If one things for sure, homeless people don't have it easy. Homeless people often face disease, violence from others, exposure to the elements in hot or chilly climates, and starvation. The cycle of poverty often keeps homeless people from finding getting to their feet, so they resort to begging for essentials like clothing, shelter, and food. Unfortunately, this beggar can be illegal depending on the jurisdiction.

This was the case in an indecent in a Hardee's Restaurant in South Carolina. The restaurant had been giving a homeless man some free meals to help him out but it wasn't enough and he resorted to asking other tables if he could have their scraps so he wouldn't have to rummage through garbage cans or dumpsters for food.

Unfortunately, this offended a customer who called the police on the hungry man. A county police officer named CJ Mullinax quickly arrived on the scene to confront the man. Employees secretly videotaped the interaction on their phones. But instead of an arrest, they filmed a heartwarming moment of a cop going out of his way to help the homeless man.

CJ asked the man if he was hungry and the man initially denied it before admitting that he was starving. Instead of arresting him, Officer Mullinax bought the man two burgers.

After the amazing video went viral, employees told the media that the homeless man is a military veteran who had been hit by devastating financial problems. You never know someone's story but an act of kindness can make their life easier.

Put a smile on your friends and families faces and support your local police officers by showing them this amazing video about a cop helping a hungry homeless man.
