When Her Son Wouldn't Get Out Of Bed For School, This Fed-Up Mother Called The Police

Dec 19, 2018 by apost team

There are not very many tools available that will make a rebellious teenager do things they do not want to do. This can sometimes be especially true for matters that are quite simple for everyone else. The simple act of leaving the bed in the morning recently became a cause of great conflict for one teenager and his mother.

Zachary Towns is a teenager growing up in the township of Grand Blanc, Michigan. Zachary, like many teenagers, is quite resourceful when it comes to producing reasons not to do what is expected of him. Zachary is honest when assessing his sleeping habits and says he can be lazy and not want to leave his bed in the morning.

His mother Crystal recently lost patience with her son and resorted to drastic measures to address his early morning sluggishness. And while it was not the first time mother and son butted heads over the matter, it very well may be the last.

On the morning in question, Zachary did not wake up on time. He explained to his mother he was still in bed because his sister forgot to wake him.

Crystal explained that she does not have the time to account for his failure to get up in the morning. She says it is difficult for her when he is not ready to catch the bus that takes him to and from school.

She warned him in the past that she would make a call to the school policeman if he continued to not get up on time in the morning. On this morning, Crystal made good on the threat.

The officer made himself available to Crystal's call for help and came to the aid of the frustrated mother. The officer knocked on the door and once inside informed the teen that he would be riding to school in the backseat of a police car.

Crystal explains that her son is not a bad kid but somehow developed the notion that he was not required to get up in the morning and go to school.

Zachary is apologetic about the matter and says he should not have pushed his mother in a position that required such drastic action on her part. It is quite possible this philosophical perspective came to him while in the backseat of the police car.

Zachary says he was not all that surprised his mother called the police officer because it was 'like the hundredth' time he had not gotten up for school on time this year. He also says his mother will often do 'dramatic' things.
