When Her Husband Demanded She Bury Him With All His Money, This Woman Found A Genius Way To Honor His Request

That saying from the '80s that "greed is good" might not have that much truth to it after all.

There's a story going around the internet right now that shows how you really can't take money with you after you die. A woman's husband wanted to be buried with all his money, but she had a better idea.

As the story goes, the man had worked diligently all his life. By the time he was quite old, he'd earned quite a fortune. The man never saw a penny go to waste. As a "reward," he wanted to be buried with these riches so he could spend it in the afterlife.

Despite his miserly ways, the man was happily married, so his wife wanted to respect her husband's dying wish. She struggled with it at first - after all, retirement isn't cheap, and she needed the money. Eventually, though, this woman found a way to make it work.

At the funeral, she was dutifully sitting with all their loved ones. Just as her husband was about to be buried, this woman yelled "Wait!"

She was holding a shoebox and carefully put it in the casket before they rolled it shut. In utter shock, their friends asked her what happened. The woman replied that it is important to keep our promises, even if they seem weird.

So how did she do it? They wanted to know. She laughed and explained that she had put all of his money into her account. Then she wrote him a check and put it in that shoebox. Just like her husband wanted, he was buried with his wealth!
