Steven Ferreiro knew that he could not rebuild the Apathy's home or provide them with a new one all on his own. So he reached out to a local real estate company for a little help, according to Insider Edition. As a young founder of his own non-profit, Steven knew that sometimes it takes a lot of hard work to get the job done. However, it is always worth the result. According to Yahoo, managing to secure an apartment where the Apathy family could live free of rent for three months while rebuilding their own home was almost more than they could ask for.

In their struggle to find a safe place for their kids to stay during the pandemic, without a home of their own, the Apathy's were overwhelmed by the kindness of this teenager. Watching the video, the hurt and discouragement that this family must have gone through when visiting their previous home is unimaginable. If even for just a few minutes Steven's act of kindness made them forget the nightmare they were living, it was all worth it.

As a giving person, Steven wants nothing in return for his efforts except to see this family thrive during their time of hardship. Encouraging his community to lend a helping hand when it is needed is the message this 16-year-old student wants to send to viewers, according to Inside Edition. He regularly donates clothes and food to those in need through his non-profit, Helping Others And Giving Hope
