Some people dismiss bullying as just kids being kids. In reality, bullying can carry lasting consequences. Over the last few years, there have been many cases where children committed suicide after being bullied and harassed. In 2018, this tragic situation has not changed. One 14-year-old girl decided that the only way to escape the bullies was by committing suicide.

Amy Jayne Everett was a bright, young girl who was called Dolly by all of her friends. When she was 14 years old, she decided to tragically end her life. As a 6-year-old girl, she was photographed in an Australia hat from the Akubra company that represented outback rural life. She can be seen spending time with her family and smiling brightly in all of the photos.

At first, it seemed like Dolly was the last person who would ever get bullied. She became popular in school and was chosen as the face of Akubra. Unfortunately, her popularity transformed her into a target. The bullies were jealous of her fame, so they started to pick on her.

After years of bullying, Dolly could not take it anymore. On January 3, 2018, she decided to end her life. She wanted to escape the evil bullies of the world, and death seemed like the only way out.

Her father, Tick Everett, could barely contain his grief. Four days after her death, he wrote an emotional message that he posted to Facebook. In the post, he thanked everyone for their support and kindness.

After thanking all of the kind people who came forward to help after Dolly's death, Tick also decided to talk about bullying. He challenged his daughter's bullies to come forward. If the bullies thought that harassment was a joke or a way to feel superior, he wanted them to come to Dolly's funeral and see what their harsh words had caused.

Finally, Tick wrote about what it was like for teenagers who were getting bullied. He told the bullied teenagers to stick together so that the bullies could not win. Meanwhile, Akubra was shocked and saddened by the death of Dolly. They created a Facebook post about Dolly and started an anti-bullying campaign in her honor.

Dolly may no longer be alive, but her memory still remains. After Dolly's death, the Everett family created a foundation called Dolly's Dream. The new foundation seeks to make a positive change in the world and supports uplifting charities.

The Everett family will never be able to get their daughter back, but they are working to change the culture of bullying. They are determined to keep her memory alive in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
