Weatherman Mistakenly Turns On Photo Face Filters During Live Broadcast

As Justin Hinton finished his weather report on snowfall in Asheville, North Carolina, the WLOS ABC 13 anchor did not realize that Facebook filters were giving him funny new faces including that of a wizard, a spaceman, and others.

Weatherman Justin Hinton had just finished his report on the "first legitimate snowfall we've seen this season" in North Carolina when he realized that the broadcast didn't go as smoothly as he had thought.

Once Hinton went back to the camera to check on the live feed of viewer comments, he saw that he had broadcasted with a "weird face." He then realized that just before going live, Justin had mistakenly turned on the automatic Facebook face filters, which gave his factual report a comedic layer.

As the anchor informed viewers of school closures and warnings about the weather conditions, he sported multiple looks including a space helmet, a cat, a wizard, googly eyes, and that of a spooky story-teller with a flashlight.

The news station WLOS ABC 13 posted the full video on their Facebook page and shows Justin going back behind the camera to ask his coworker:

"Wait, Misty, did I have a weird face?"

After he was told that the special filters were in his live report, he says:

"Now I'm excited to look back at this video and see what's happening to my face."

Justin laughed-off his silly mistake on his own Facebook page writing:

"Right before going live on Facebook on the WLOS ABC 13 station account to talk about snow, I somehow activated a filter generator. The photographer I was working with said something about the screen having weird faces. He didn't elaborate, so I said it would probably go away. Needless to say, it did not go away. I didn't realize it until I stepped off camera and saw the comments where people were talking about the faces. My bosses, coworkers, friends, PIOs and more called/text saying how funny it was, so here you go."
