We Didn't Know What To Expect When They Said They'd Be Clogging. But Then The Music Started.

Have you ever witnessed a large group of people performing what is known as clogging? If you have, then you are well aware of just how mesmerizing it can be. The way that cloggers move their feet swiftly and deftly to the music is really impressive.

Clogging began in the 1700s and is a dance that requires the dancer to wear a certain shoe. This footwear gives the dancer the ability to tap their toe, heel, or both as they dance, creating an amazingly catchy tune as they move.

While it may sound like tap dancing, it is totally different.

A clogger will make most of their sounds from their heels, whereas a tap dancer will use the balls of the feet much more. Additionally, clogging requires more than one person. Tap dancing can be performed as a solo.
