Wild horses are a rare sight to behold, and some people travel around the world to see this spectacular and rare occurrence.
There are still wild ponies roaming the Chincoteague and wild horses in Patagonia. People come from all over the world to see their beauty.
Horses are creatures that adapt fast to natural environments and have moved frequently from one place of being to another. In Petagonia, the wild horses are a relatively new occurrence as they descended from domestic horses.
According to Aureazure, The horses that live in some parts of Argentina and Chile are supposedly descendants of an abandoned stock from a local farmer. This phenomenon of wild horses is not completely foreign as they are parts of Arizona in which there are wild donkeys roaming the wild desert since the time of their abandonment.

In the United States, wild horses appeared hundreds of years in the past when they were taken to the plains and left there. Today, several states like Nevada have herds of roaming wild horses.
Whilst the horses in North America do not have natural predators, the ones in Patagonia are prayed by the local puma. In the United States, horses experience overgrowth in population because of their natural lack of predators. Where the puma roams, the horse population is kept balanced.
According to Cascada, In fact, the puma is so concerned with horses as its food source that the survival rate of young horses falls below 20%.
Besides the puma, there are plenty of threats that can happen to Patagonian horses. The story of this mishap happened when Hugo Martinez and his friends spotted something standing against a fence on a side of the road across Rio Negro, Argentina.
According to MSN news, It turned out to be a horse that was laying next to a fence and extremely exhausted from trying to free itself from the fence. Its back leg was stuck in the fence. As proof of its struggle, there were deep grooves in the earth at the place where it was lying.
The men worked fast to untangle the fence and free the horse's back leg without getting kicked. The horse was so tired that at first that it did not even realize it was free. It took a few slaps from one of the rescuers for it to realize that it could now run.
This horse was lucky and escaped an inevitable death. What do you think of the rescue? What would you do in their place? Let us know in the comments, and make sure you pass this along to your friends and family!
