A viral video is making waves online, with many wondering if it's some leaked footage from the new Batman movie. However, in this situation, truth is stranger than fiction. The caped crusader you see in the video below isn't on a movie set; instead, he's a die-hard Batman enthusiast who got pulled over by police while driving his amazingly authentic Batmobile!

Thank goodness another motorist on the road had the bright idea to film this crazy moment and upload it online for all the world to enjoy. The video starts with a cop car flashing its lights signaling for the Batmobile to pull over. When it does, out steps a man in one truly impressive Batman costume.

"No way!" the filming motorist exclaims as Batman leaps out of the vehicle. Although the video doesn't show how the incident plays out, that hasn't stopped people online from speculating as to what might have happened after the video ends.

"I wonder if he got arrested. I can't imagine seeing Batman in handcuffs or seeing the Batmobile getting towed!" one social media user commented.

The man behind the viral video still can't believe what he saw. While he didn't continue filming, he pulled over a few yards down the road to watch from a distance. He claims that the police officer had been following the Batmobile for a minute before it finally pulled over and that the police officer looked unhappy when the Dark Knight jumped out of the vehicle without being instructed to do so.

"[You should] never get out of your vehicle and approach an officer," the cameraman advised. He's absolutely right! It's a bad idea to get out of your car unless the police officer who's pulled you over has requested you to exit your vehicle. In fact, getting out of your car without being prompted can cause an officer to perceive you as a threat, which is bad for all parties in that situation.

People online are dying to try to figure out who this costumed man is. Some are speculating that he's just a hardcore fan, with one social media user commenting that he would buy the same car and costume if he could afford it. Others think that he's perhaps a professional impersonator who performs at parties. Let's hope that eventually this caped crusader comes forward so we can learn how and why he found himself in this situation?
