Watch: Tear-Jerking Moment Young Girl With Cerebral Palsy Walks On Her Own

We all have rough days where it seems like the misfortunes that we face are too much to handle. We may become upset and overwhelmed by the things that we’re facing if we don’t believe in ourselves and our ability to persevere

One young girl named Birkley can relate to these struggles all too well. Birkey’s mother Tamra has been documenting the hardships that her daughter faces since the moment she was born.

Now 11, Birkley has gone viral for the most amazing reason after her mother posted about her most recent success story. According to Logan’s Facebook feed and Special Living Today Birkley has been struggling with cerebral palsy since she was born.

 Before she was born, she was infected with a viral disease called Cytomegalovirus which caused an abundance of health problems for the young girl. For instance, her hearing is poor and becoming worse, and at a young age, she’s already been through many types of therapy and procedures that the average person will never have to endure.

Some of them include extensive physical therapy, surgeries to implant cochlear devices, hip surgeries, and therapies for her speech. She also has hypotonia, which makes it hard for her to walk due to decreased muscle tone, and needed treatments of Botox to help correct the problem.

But no matter what she goes through, Birkley never gives up and her mother is there to support her along the way. In fact, instead of dwelling on the struggles that her daughter faces, her mother Tamra has decided to make her life’s mission something more purposeful and meaningful to her and her family.

She works on developing products that can help others, such as gym shoes that can be worn by strapping them around your knees in order to be adaptive to those with special needs.

Because her daughter has trouble walking, sometimes she needs to get around by using her knees instead, and products like this make it much easier for her to feel like a typical little girl.

Recently, Birkley has reached a huge milestone. After a long decade of hard work and determination, the little girl was finally able to walk on her own without assistance! Thankfully, the video was posted online for everyone to share in the amazing moment and thousands of people viewed it and shared their support for the little girl, proud of her accomplishments.

In the video, you can see just how optimistic and confident Birkley is, despite the challenges she faces and it's clear that her positive attitude has helped her through the hardships. Her mother has shared the video with others, displaying just how proud she is of her daughter overcoming the obstacles she has been given since birth.
