The earliest known film footage of Elvis Presley has surfaced, and he's not alone in the video. The video features the undisputed King of Rock and Roll in a jam session with his good friends Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly and Carl Perkins.

According to elvispresleymusic.com.au, footage was captured by Ben Hall, a disc jockey at a Lubbock, Texas radio station. Elvis, Cash, Holly and Perkins were playing an event in the tiny auditorium of Lubbock High School. Ben Hall knew he was in the presence of greatness and decided to film the event with an 8 mm camera.

The video takes place in 1955. Buddy Holly was only 18 years old and had yet to form The Crickets. Elvis wouldn't release Blue Suede Shoes, a song written by Carl Perkins, until 1956, but he was already famous in the Deep South. Johnny Cash didn't know it at the time, but he was about to get his big break.
