On a recent Netflix special, comedian Adam Sandler paid tribute to his castmate and late friend Chris Farley. The moving performance was Sandler's opening act as host.

Farley and Sandler were castmates on Saturday Night Live from 1990 until 1995. Both mischevious and independent comedians were fired from the show and went on to have successful careers in acting. Tragically, Farley died from an overdose of morphine and cocaine in 1997. He was at the height of his career and was just 33-years-old

Sandler paid tribute to Farley's larger-than-life persona in a moving sone which talks about the time when the two comedians first met. The 52-year-old comedian's opening act also mentioned Farley's iconic Saturday Night Live sketches and characters.

The actor sang in a twangy, folk voice and sounded very similar to Bob Dylan. He played an iconic Fender Stratocaster that had a white, vanilla color. There was a piano player accompanying Sandler's guitar playing throughout the entire song. Sandler sang about all of Farley's favorite SNL characters including Mike Ditka, Bumblebee Girl, and a Chippendale's dancer. He also mentioned a time when the staff swapped Farley's drink with coffee.

After the first few lines, Adam Sandler stepped away from the microphone and changed the settings on his guitar amp. He played a moving guitar solo that matched perfectly with the theme of the song. The crowd cheered and applauded the impressive guitar playing. As Sandler stepped back towards the microphone, everybody knew that the song was going to get more emotional.
